backpacking meal ideas

Food for backpacking?
Hello all, I have not been backpacking in about 5 years and no longer own a Dehydrator, which I used to dehydrate all my foods on my college trips. I was wondering if any of you have meal ideas for backpacking for 2 people (one of which has never been BP’ing before) We will be out for only 3 days and I don’t want to load up on sodium and/or carbs…. more protein the better!
There is a ton of commercially produced packer food on the market today, though I have to admit most of them fall into the crocodile dundee definintion…….you can live off them, but they taste like…………………………
I’ve grown to love seal a meals for short trips where space/weight considerations just arn’t that important.
theres always the old school methodology…..granola….lots of it.
