Is there a camping device that heats water without an outlet or light/fire?
I am a marine infantryman. I am in situations a lot where I have no power and am not allowed to have flames because it gives away our position (even no smoking). Is there a camping device that heats water without a outlet or light/fire? (BTW i know that there are heaters in our prepackaged meals (MREs) but they are unreliable and one time use.
yes, they are called solar showers it’s basically a black and silver heavy duty plastic bag with a long nozzle attached that you fill with water and set out in a sunny spot. it will get the water about 20 to 30 degrees hotter then the surrounding air. Here is couple of links one at a sporting supply store, bass pro shop the other is a survival site. there are also propane powered units as well.
