Could someone please give me detailed instructions on how I can turn these fishing weights into gold?
You need a nuclear reactor. Word is, in an old Russian power plant, part of the lead shielding turned to gold after years of exposure to radiation.
It would take time, but apparently it does work in a human lifetime.
