My husband and I just got a 75 gallon fish aquarium?
I need some advice on purchasing fish, I have heard it is important to put the same fish (from the same area) being south africa etc.. (freshwater) so they won’t eat each other. Basically I need advise on filling it up with fish and what are some nice ones that will get along

Before you purchase fish you need to make sure your water in the tank has cycled and all added chemicals from your water treatment facility have been removed. When your tank is fish ready depending on if you want all the same kind of fish then yes go with fish from the same regions but be careful some of these fish do not get along either because some are aggressive and some are not. If you would like to have a variety of fish in your tank ask at a fish store what fish are good community fish, also you can purchase community fish that like to swim or hang out in different areas of the tank example top swimmers, middle dwellers and bottom feeders. Be sure to get yourself at least one algae eater. Research the fish you are interested in purchasing to ensure that they will not out grow there environment you may end up like me a wife with a husband who now has 8 fish tanks up and running.
