Whats the difference between junior and adult racing skis?

I’m looking into Fischer RC4 World Cup GS Skis and would like to know the difference between the junior model and the adult model.

I’m 16 and about 5′10” so I’m wondering if I’d be okay to get the junior model.

Wow. I’m 17 and a little shorter and I’m looking at the exact same skis for myself.

Junior skis are a little more flexible. They won’t hold an edge as well for a more agressive and heavier skier. The adult skis can be more powerful if you can use them well. Basically, the junior skis are meant for lighter, less agressive skiers. But the difference isn’t too significant. If you can do a junior ski instead of adult ski I would say go for it. But talk to your coach first. They would know your skiing ability best and if you could use a junior ski. But in the junior sizes that ski only goes up to 170cm. They are a ton cheaper but you will probably need more length to meet the USSA length regulations. I think it’s about 176 in GS for you.
